Once again. An accusation of a crime being committed should be tested in law. What people say and do in the privacy of their homes and relationships is entirely up to them. Guilt at the point of accusation is a ridiculous position to take in a liberal society. It requires people with no first hand experience of the people involved to take an immediate position on anything that anyone says. If you genuinely think the man is a cannibal, then find proof and prosecute. If you think he’s weird – that’s fine too. This isn’t about doubting the victims OR the accused. It’s about taking a totally neutral position until the courts decide based on the evidence provided. If there’s no offence (and saying you want to eat someone isn’t an offence) then what is really left to discuss other than being judgemental about sexual predilections…. But before you wade in and repeat an accusation perhaps consider that we’ve been here before with Johnny Depp, Joe Biden and Tom Felton. This nod-nod-wink-wink we all knew it, integrity free approach to sensationalist journalism is becoming tired – worse its desensitising the world to the real plight of actual victims. Looks like feminism, feels like feminism, actually a form of misandry that undermines the legitimacy of what feminists are trying to achieve.
