Once both people involved in any relationship are adults, it ceases to be any of my business. Two questions. Are you an adult? Do you consent given all the information? If yes, wtf does the age, wealth, employment history, or tastes of anyone have to do with anything. Your arrangement can be based in love, in finance, in power, in whatever you want it to be. You’re adults you consent.

I strongly dislike the whole ‘manipulation’ is what age gaps are about. It cedes too much power to men. It also backhanded disempowers young adult women. When it’s done via podcast like this, I call it the Vagina Patriarchy. Making it clear to young women that they do not know what the world is about and require the protection of older women. It’s the same shit men pull. Control based on subjective notions of power.
