Ooooh, good questions. I have also had a passing interest in my circadian rhythms; so much so I bought an app (called RISE) to monitor what was going on with my sleep cycle. Now it tells me when I'm going to be productive and when I'm going to be dipping.

My Significant Other Penguin also keeps me informed about my emotions. They are very good at spotting when I'm overworking, when I'm hangry and when I'm sad. They reliably inform me of such things and I've learned not to argue or sulk. I am bad at spotting my own patterns. In return, I do the ironing and push them through bouts of social anxiety, mind-reading and catastrophising with a firm feathery kick in the tush.

I try not to hate read - but I will occasionally go and pick at scabs in the same way you do. It never ends well. I think it's something to do with complicated subconscious feelings and a need for closure on things left unresolved. The Significant Other Penguin also accuses me of picking fights, I don't think I pick fights, but I always keep the snarktillery handy should the need arise to use it. Some days it's more easily deployed than others. :o)

Great article. Great read, very enjoyable. :o)
