Our country limits abortion at the point at which an embryo/foetus can survive outside the womb. After 24 weeks, the foetus has a 50% chance of survival. Is this a good compromise?
Because, whilst I agree to pro-choice there should be an ethical limit? Would you permit abortion a week before birth? If not, why not? The foetus may be more developed, but does personhood begin at birth, does personhood begin at conception, or is there some arbitrary point (like 24 weeks) where legal protection can come in to protect people in potentia?
Complicated problems create complicated solutions. :o)
