Parent is a noun. To parent is a verb. Too much emphasis is placed on the biological connection between a baby and its parent. Doing this overlooks all the parenting being done by a wider society. We’ve become a society too afraid to step on the toes of the biologically related and too afraid to correct and guide uninformed and underdeveloped parents. We should, you have, and it’s excellent - this should be the norm. :o)
