Perhaps I'm growing up? Who knows. I don't feel less snarky - but maybe it's seasonal. I also find these sorts of topics are best peppered lightly with snark rather than the full bucket deal with all the herbs and spices.

I do feel Lucifer did get the rough end of the deal, because the Old Testament God was a terrible employer. I'm not sure I would've been able to stomach their penchant for hiding in bushes and laying traps with apples, sacrificing sons, bringing plagues and drowning everyone for shits and giggles. God needed to be brought down a peg or two and Lucifer tried his best.

I don't mind self-identification within the minutiae of day-to-day living. In most cases it will be harmless, whether or not you put Mr or Ms on your library card is of little significance.... but there are places where it does matter and the law needs to properly address those instances - and the debate is far from over.
