Peterson does love allegorical structure - but I'm also a screenwriter and I appreciate the power of storytelling too. Voyage and return is from the Seven Basic Plots by Christopher Booker. It's a banging read.

The appeal of the underdog story cannot be denied, it's a core story humans seem to tell themselves and probably stems from childhood - and is great for populists from both the right and the left, particularly when told to those with binary thinking. :o)
