Pretty much like Weinstein and Epstein. That’s how a society resolves its discord. Playing into the court of public and opinion in place of legal trial means that accusation becomes guilt. Then you end up with accusation as a political tool (see Tara Reade), then you end up with society wide backlash that throws out all accusations as equally meaningless. This makes society a more dangerous place for women. It’s a short term win at a massive long term cost.
I understand why it appeals, but it must be rejected in favour of a better criminal justice system and a reduction in the burden of proof. It cannot and should not be brought in by the back door because it’s expedient to do so and feels like justice
