Put simply, your country will either have a civil war, or it will make peace with the status quo of democracy. No democrat can beat Trump without financial sponsorship, and nobody with leftist principles wants to support people with money having control over politicians.

So either… the money steps in and funds the democrats and their centre ground neo-liberal politics takes charge again. In this scenario, I think it probable that Trump will issue a call to arms (and you’ll have a civil war.)

OR you’ll simply re-elect Trump again because the democrat identity politics shooting circle will all execute each other. If Trump handles the fallout from Corona as well as he’s handling preventing the virus itself, the ensuing poverty will force an uprising (and you’ll have a civil war.)

Either way. The USA is low on my list of places to be in the next two or three years. Heavily armed, heavily divisive, massive wealth inequality, low levels of national social support structures, nationalism as a key indicator of identity and a population that sujectively believes God is almost always on their side.
