Russell Brand has some fairly radical ideas about the role of government. He once called for a Revolution here in the U.K., when asked to describe it, he said…

‘A socialist egalitarian system based on the massive redistribution of wealth, [with] heavy taxation of corporations...I think the very concept of profit should be hugely reduced...I say profit is a filthy word, because wherever there is a profit there is also a deficit.’

That very much puts him in the left wing camp. The confusion here is that people presume that everyone who Joe Rogan talks to must be from the right wing. Ideally a Republican. The reality is that he tends to talk to people from all over the political spectrum, some right wing, some left. Brand is about as far left as you can get, so the idea he’s a right wing shill is fairly laughable.
