So…. To be clear, you took someone’s story about racial discrimination in their childhood and said ‘this doesn’t count’ because you believe she is white enough? You don’t see a problem with this? You can’t see how this might be problematic identity politics?

I’m more than happy for her to be white, brown, Indian, Sikh, Muslim, French or even identify as a pot plant if she wants. All focusing on this does is create a nonsense cloud of flip-flopping and mental gymnastics as you try and marry up your ideological bias with the politics being espoused by the person in question.

Here’s my take. I don’t like what she says but I think she’s a better choice than Donald Trump for Republicans and for the world in general, everything else about her as a person is irrelevant to the question at hand.
