Such a horrible situation. I have also met and worked with many variations of your mother. They are terrifying people. I think XX is being very blunt and unfair - but what you’ve said doesn’t support her worldview that women are always the epitome of innocence and men are nefarious evil wrongdoers.

It would be remiss of me not to make the reverse argument I made elsewhere though. We do have to be very careful not to let our own biases and subjective experiences interfere too much with the process. While other people have found Depp to be guilty because he’s triggered their spousal abuse memories, you (and many others) have found Heard to be guilty because she triggers your narc-sense. That’s why we have courts and trials, to look at all the evidence fairly - and I think this court came to (mostly) the right conclusion.

Hopefully you’ve managed to get some boundaries in place for your mother and she is no longer capable of such terrifying acts of cruelty. It can be hard to find compassion for such people - but it can be done.
