Super interesting stuff - and yes, there's something quite interesting about the brain and what it does but it does open some interesting ethical questions. To what extent should we explore reducing and erradicating such a discrepency in brain chemistry. These are isseus that society will struggle with as we push into the 21st century and unpick the genome further. If there's a 'gene' that resolves issues like 'deafness' or 'being trans' then do we remove those obstacles in utero? Or do we push those people into a world that will be difficult but working towards more inclusivity. I've explored some of those questions in my plays and.... lets just say it gets heated. :o/
