Sure.

No. Trump's resposne to the Covid pandemic isn't good. But what point does holding onto the anger serve?

I'm not Trans. And yes, Trump fired up the anti-trans rhetoric - but he was able to do so because society was being altered very quickly and in a knee-jerk way as a result of identity politics controlling the discourse. That's something I find highly uncomfortable - see my article titled 'Nazis in Our Classes' for more about why I don't think you should yoke yourself to a movement if you aren't sure of the outcome.

My race, sex or sexuality isn't a matter I discuss, that's why I identify as s penguin. (There's an article about that too). Having said that, I'm committed to challenging badly thought through arguments from people whatever their skin colour, sex, gender or sexuality. That's equality. You can still be wrong, even if you're trans, black, white or a dog like the one on Family Guy. Identity has no place in formal discourse, it's an ad-homniem feature.

And on the Desantis issue, there will always be people who want to usurp the democratic process and push things into anarchy. Those people are insane. But there aren't 69,000,000 of them. The converations you need to have are with the 67,000,000 or so (including the black and latino voters) who voted for Trump when given the choice of him or Joe Biden. A large part of that problem is to do with the dehumanisation of groups of people - ie, the exact process that you're engaging in when you lump all Republicans together.
