Sure. Trump's presentation is always centred around the self, he takes credit for everything and for work done by other people and writes his personal narrative around this. He cannot fathom a reality where he is not the most important person in the room. Unfortunately, because of your electoral system in many cases he is the most important person in the room. In the people I work with, they often tell me they're pop stars who have had their music stolen, they're business people and billionaires, they're here (in a hospital under section) for their own protection because someone is trying to kill them. This is what grandiose narcissism looks like at the bottom of society.

Trump isn't at the bottom of society, he is at the top. So even when he is toadying up to dictators around the world, it's always his choice because he's the smartest person in the room. The ideal solution would be for the democrats to say 'Trump is Putin's lackey, Putin is going to ask him to do X Y and Z', or 'if X happens, then you'll know it's Putin pulling the strings because Trump is weak and can't stand up to a Russian leader'

If that cuts through to his grandiosity, he'll change his modus operandi for ego protection. :o)
