Surely this needs to intersect more comprehensively with where a woman is in the US? Is it better to be Black Woman in a Blue State or a white woman in a Red State? Only when you hold black women and white women up as a monolith does this make sense. I think there's a valid argument to be made that middle-class black women in California and NYC might be better off than poor white woman in rural Tennessee right now..... but such a point is inconvenient and possibly even controversial.
