Tackling the complexities of what happens next in the western world is already being lost in a quagmire of conflicting shouting and blame. The last decade has seen people retreat into meaningless and ever smaller ideological identity factions. Groups that refuse to listen or attempt dialogue with people who have the temerity to disagree with them. That remains true of both the right and the left.
The only way human beings can make any meaningful progress through the next thirty years is battlling through this incessant noise and confusion with open and honest dialogue at the individual level. When we're stripped away from the anxiety generating groups we have been assigned to, we might be able to talk and discuss issues on a human level. Until that point - we're completely stuck between echo chambers on a carousel of despair.
Last week I wrote an article condeming GEN for a lack of journalistic intelligence after another pointless rant, you've convninced me that perhaps all is not lost. A great article, very sensible and very well written.
