Medium is a great place to store your work and you've got the right idea there - I recently applied for a writing job and was able to link people to some of my stories to showcase how I like to write and what my style is. That wasn't the plan 3 years ago, but it's certainly useful now. So keep going and eventually the cents turn into dollars and the dollars will turn into hundreds! Of course the bonuses help.
