That doesn’t resolve the issue though. If the patriarchy emerges cross culturally, then we’re in a chicken and egg debate. It’s a debate I’ve had a lot with Elle Beau, where I argue the patriarchy emerges out of the psychology/biological factors of sex-difference and she argues the opposite. If there is an underlying biological predisposition, then it’s not an easy fix. We can cognitively move away from it - but that’s only part of the battle, and the small part.
