That is correct, women are somewhat screwed and I’ve never been more pleased not to be an American. We aren’t in the 1970s anymore though, and there are ways to mitigate against the damage this causes.
The argument from emotion is relevant because the visceral reaction to Alito isn’t going to help. It doesn’t work as an appeal to a legal position and liberals need to regroup and get strategic on this one. This isn’t about trying to re-pack the court, it’s trying to reset the entire thing so that it’s future proof. It’s either that, or if emotions continue to run the dialogue, the collapse of the SCOTUS.
