That’s a very honest and raw response – and if you can see yourself in this article then you’re half of the way out. The fact you’ve had or are having therapy is also a good thing. Once you spot the pattern then you can make the change.

Once you understand about splitting and polemic thinking you can become aware that you’re doing it. The next stage is slowly rewiring your brain to do different things. This may not be easy, and it may take a long while – but it is ultimately worthwhile.

You likely aren’t responsible for the events that brought on BPD or cyclothymia, but taking responsibility for actions and situations that may stem from it is down to you. Sounds like you’re well on your way tho,and making mature choices that will lead to better times. Keep up the good work. Some paths through life are more complicated than others but I hope it becomes easier sooner. :o)
