That's a very interesting article and I haven't seen it before. I suspect the authors may have fallen foul of the complaint button or had their work flagged as offensive by overzealous readers.I hold a liberal position on free speech which means that you can say whatever you like as long as you're prepared to face the consequences of doing so.

Perhaps in this instance there was some push back by mens-activists or Trans-activists in relation to Linehan and some of the other feminism stuff that has strayed into what is now TERF territory. What you've termed as misogyny may elsewhere be labelled 'supporting the trans-inclusivity agenda'

That said, I have very little time for any argument that stops any group of people saying what they like - but when 'being offended' becomes weaponised and a useful tool for one group, it quickly becomes useful for all groups. There will always be someone ready to out victim the latest victor - that's the reductive nature of identity politics I'm afraid. After white men, white women were next on the hit-list.

Without getting caught up in deep level epistemic arguments about what constitutes knowledge - we have no way to agree on whether you 'know' or you 'presume' - but it's no harm, no fowl (see what I did there). I enjoy your comments as much as you seem to enjoy my work and so it's a matter of little consequence. You may keep asserting such a thing (Elle Beau often does) and I will keep refusing to confirm or deny it. I refer people to my 'person behind the penguin' article if they want to get to know me better. :o)
