That’s actually a very difficult question, because everyone thinks ‘of course I would’ but reality and sociology demonstrates time and time again that people don’t.
Given this is objectively true, I think the most important thing is to avoid having to answer the question and ensure liberal democracy survives, that it isn’t hijacked by either the political left or right.
Because everyone thinks they’re the moral one. Everyone thinks if they make the laws then the laws would be better. Laws generally only get better when they’re argued in the crucible of a society.
