That's the nature of the beast on Medium I'm afraid - there are some people who write here who have very strong opinions and are very ready with the block button. You've got to be proper persistent and left-field batshit to get blocked by me because I think an echo chamber is unhealthy and unhelpful to the course of society.

Geneally if I'm disagreed with and the arguments have merit, I'll clap it up to the top of the comments. It's important people get both sides of an argument. It does suck when you get blocked, particularly by a writer you admire - but it's something you have no control over and therefore not worth spending time dwelling on.

God knows how many times I've been blocked for questioning a fellow writer. It's a knee jerk reaction and quick fix to being held accountable for putting something (usually ill conceived) out into the world. There will be other writers and there will be other people you can engage with! Keep on keeping on. :o)
