The answer to the first question is I don't know - but I think there's a massive inconsistency there. Thermonuclear weaposn are the guns of countries - if you're trying to make the world a safer place the arguments for gun control also apply to nuclear weapons.

I'm not American so I can't speak to the Constitutional textualists because I'm not entirely sure what those arguments are - but I will take your word for it. I suspect not many people would

With regard to writing on Medium, there are a few barriers to overcome. The first is getting people to read your work. The second is getting people to respond to your work and the third is keeping people interested in you as a writer.

'Will opponents of gun legislation support nuclear weapons' - is only clickbaity if you don't lay out your reasoning and encourage people to engage with the subject matter further.

Given that plenty of people have engaged with this article to both laud it and slam it - it has done its job. Clickbait is only clickbait if it doesn't offer anything past the original hook. Discussions about the differences between the classic liberal position and the unthinking extreme liberal position have ensued. The comments are far more interesting than the article itself. That isn't a pity - that's a careful balancing act that all Medium authors have to get to grips with

Thanks for your comment. :o)
