The argument ‘young women do not know what they want’ is anti-feminist. It is the argument often used on this site that ‘the brain doesn’t stop developing until 25’ so any young woman who enters into a relationship or makes a mistake with picking a potential partner must have been vulnerable and led astray. It is my experience that young women know exactly what they want.

If we’re prepared to use the ‘young women are naive’ argument at every turn, we cannot be surprised when it is used by everyone else in much the same way.
