The dark side is where it's at.... I grew up in a small(ish) English city. We had a few more than three grocery stores, but there's one big recruiter in the area, my Dad worked there and I had exactly zero desire to. So I figured it out myself and had a great time.

The council would do things like end expensive therapeutic foster placements to bring children into cheaper placements - something that was a) against policy and b) against legislation. So I would arrive, ask the kid if they wanted to stay in their expensive placements and then threaten court injunctions, get solicitors involved, write to MPs, demand policy be overturned or adhered to (depending on what was most expedient) and generally be an absolute fucking nuisance until senior managers were sick of the sight of me. I was very good at the job, sometimes workers would ask me to take a case on because they knew that having my name attached would make senior management reconsider their position ahead of time to save themselves the headache. I think I bring that sort of energy to Medium. :o)

I now do a similar thing, but in a secure Forensic mental health unit where I piss off doctors and senior managers on behalf of people who have been sectioned but who are being mistreated (I do this amongst a variety of other things) - I am too creative to be able to do one job and I hate doing stuff I don't enjoy. I was 'quiet quitting' before it got famous. :o)
