The hairy chested pig is absolutely terrifying but the AI wouldn't let me generate a woman wrestling a pig, presumably because it thought I had a fetish rather than a metaphor.

Trump is more than likely going to keep doing these things and Democrats need to pick their battles. Do we need to see his Tax Returns? If it was law rather than SOP then yes, but it wasn't and he didn't. He's a disruptor - and I'd not be happy showing my tax returns either, not because I've got anything to hide (which I think Trump does) but because I'm a libertarian and it's my damn business and nobody else's.

Ethical norms rely on ethical candidates - but ethical norms aren't adhered to at all in Washington. I'm fairly sure Ms Pelosi has made a fortune in stocks and shares in a way that could be considered insider trading. I'm sure money is passing from lobbyists to both sides of the political spectrum. You either go full-Singapore or you don't. The US runs a sort of morality by choice approach which is never applied universally.

As for Covid, the man is a blustering buffoon and anyone with the slightest inkling of what was happening should've been following scientists and their advice. Trump got in the way, made a lot of noise, prevaricated and fucked about enough to cause people to die - but those people had agency too. The thing with Trump is that you can choose to not listen to him. I'd suggest anyone who values their sanity chooses this option for about 4 years. Don't wrestle with pigs. :o)
