The problem here isn't necessarily that men don't get it - or that women haven't made it clear. This information has been clearly talked about for the last 8 years. There are men who will NEVER get it, there are men who are tired of hearing it. The problem here is that the information itself is polarising, the presentation of an argument makes an impact on how the argument is understood. The presentation of this thought experiment contributed very little, or nothing at all to the discourse..... but, as evidenced by the high level of clapping on this piece - there's money to be made in stating what everyone already knows and either a) agrees with or b) vehemently disagrees with.

My problem here isn't that I don't care about the bear or the woman, or the man.... or the high-fiving each other that comes from team-feminism, or the hard-right kick the women into the forest to see what bears are made of male-activists. The wider point is that this thought experiment doesn't make anyone any safer. It's moot. It's irrelevant. It's lucrative sure, but it's not actually making a meaningful impact.

Here's my wider take on it; which is what happens when you encourage a Penguin into the forest for observational reasons. https://medium.com/lucid-nightmare/a-woman-man-and-bear-go-into-the-woods-b7e7dbae0a2c
