The problematic nature of the rage-driven stuff is that it lacks nuance. Every situation in America is immediately polarised into instantaneous villains and heroes - as though life is a graphic novel written in the 1970s. Reality is a lot more complicated than that and it requires some rational thought over a longer period of time - otherwise you end up with two teams cherry picking the nonsense they want to throw at each other.
