The short answer is yes. You should continue to write. The longer answer is that Medium seemingly rewards writers that post often and consistently, so you will need to up the number of articles that you write. It also seems to take into account how often you read and comment on other people’s work, rewarding community style behaviours as well as writing.

The thing that will kick your writing into double figures is understanding what gets curated and what stops work from getting curated. Curated stories get fired out in a greater number of places and have much higher visibility.

But in the meantime…. keep writing, lots and often. Always keep writing :o)
