The Wheel of Death is an excellent trap to fall into. If nothing else, it demonstrates to a writer that they are capable of writing every day - even if its only for a short period of time. Just becuase you can, doesn't mean you should.

You can try and avoid the other traps if you want, but Violet Beauregarde was taken into a gum chewing room, Mike Teevee ended up with Wonkavision and Augustus Gloop fell in a chocolate river. Knowing that Medium is a psychological trap factory helps for about 1.3 seconds, but you'll get your own Oompah Loompa song in the fullness of time. :o)
