The wider point I was making is that the whole public process needs to be binned. The YouTube video guy makes some good points, but they’re bipartisan and biased. It’s the process of job application via media trial where the change needs to happen.

Is the person the most qualified? Checks and balances. Done. SCJ appointed. The issue you have with woke white is that they only come out when their interests align with yours. That’s a problem with identity politics and a problem with the left in general. That’s why you have to change the system, not argue in a bipartisan way when it’s your team getting screwed over.

That’s what the video guy didn’t acknowledge. The SCJ process was flawed for both candidates and to get consensus you have to move to a neutral position. Is it wrong to question the Black Woman about being a Black Woman? Sure is… are white people staying silent. Yep. Why? Because there are a million interpretations of ‘allyship’ right now, ranging from staying silent to being vociferously outspoken and your interpretation of white silence is one of many available.

Was it right to raise sexual assault allegations in a public job interview? I don’t think so. Both sides need to make the argument that the bipartisan attacks aren’t helpful for anyone - not just when it is expedient to say so.
