I don't know what your product is but there are very few things that need to be pulled off display because they are in any way offensive. The stores that continue to bow down to this sort of pressure are going to face increasingly batshit demands on other products and should've held their own straight out of the gate (pardon the pun). Now it's carte blanche for anything even slightly LGBTQ+ adjacent to be taken down - because they've rewarded the power given to vocal idiots under the guise of protecting children.
Companies can support whoever they like - but a company which wishes to make money cannot please all of the people all of the time - and if it attempts to do so, then it will find itself at the whims of a vocal minority. Whether they are cisgender, binary, heterosexual or black, non-binary and pansexual. It doesn't matter what flavour of batshit your crusader is, it simply matters that they crusade into an increasingly irrational pattern of power grabs. :o)
