Then you are probably a swinger.... and may have overcorrected. I don't know you and I don't know the situation you're in - but there's somethings confirmation-bias-ish about this. You can remain objective in your beliefs, only if you're taking in the full range of information. If you have swung from one place to other, you are probably either consciously or subconsciously seeking information to support your changing position. Sure, there are are a bunch of people writing terrible things about everyone. It depends where you go looking for that information and what you intend to find when you search.

The algorithm is very good at feeding us things we already think, particularly on social media and particularly on Medium. Many people on this platform don't bother to meet someone with whom they can politely disagree. I politely (and sometimes impolitely) disagree with most people on this platform and I tend to be blocked by those already in an echo chamber who cannot stand to be even politely nudged out of their comfort zone. You're a physics graduate - be scientific about it. Test the variables here. :o)
