There are two ways of resolving this... you can raise the age of consent to 25, when the brain of a young woman has finally finished settling down.... or you can say 'once an adult reaches the age of consent... it's entirely up to them'.
If you're looking to empower women as a standard thing to do - you can't immediately then say 'apart from women who are 19 - 25 because actually the rest of us know what's best for them. I think it's fair to say that Leonardo Di Caprio's girlfriends, all in their twenties, are more than capable of weighing up the pros and cons of a situation and deciding for themselves. Not my place to tell them they shouldn't, they can't or they're too immature to handle it.
Two questions. Are you over the age of consent? Do you consent? That's it. That's all I want to know. I wrote a whole article about the need to denigrate the decisions of adult women at every turn. I'm about twenty seconds away from calling it the vagina patriarchy.
The article is here if you want to debate it further. https://medium.com/lucid-nightmare/im-calling-time-on-the-bashing-of-age-gap-relationships-22e09ae93b1a
