There is a problem with the use of bigotry. Bigotry is simply an inability to listen to the point of view of other people and insist upon your own world view. It doesn't distinguish between right and left in the political sphere as such. There are bigots on both sides of the political spectrum but the right makes less of a pretence about 'inclusion' - a main thrust of the identity obsessed left.

There are valid criticisms of Israel, Palestine, White folks, black folks and most other people but to shut down any conversation with an 'ism' is a particularly pernicious form of silencing people. Unfortunately, as I have been saying for many years, different minority groups operate in a right-wing model of conflict and domination. Niche interest groups promoting a specific agenda for a small percentage of people is not the same as being left-wing - because they cannot harmoniously co-exist.

This is what differentiates BLM (the ideology) from BLM (the political movement). It's the difference between the LGB and T communities who find themselves occasionally at loggerheads over given issues. It creates a society in which oppression must be leveraged to gain the upper hand, something which is so painfully right-wing in its execution that I can't help but feel the centre ground is being hollowed out by ideologues on both sides of the political spectrum.
