There is media toxicity across the board, it's not a right wing or left wing problem. It's an echo chamber problem - and one that the OP is more than happy to play into. I don't think it's helpful to play into polarised thinking, because positions become entrenched. The country is divided almost 50/50 and unless reasonable voices prevail to bring people back to the centre ground, the next 50 years of American democracy will be a 'fuck you YoYo'.
You may think it's silly, and that's fine - but it doesn't make it any less correct. Joe Biden won and Trump will exhaust himself trying to undermine the election ... but the truth is, Joe Biden didn't win by much. What will further fuel Trump's rhetoric is gloating liberals acting in a punitive way towards moderate Republicans - you need to push the demos back towards the centre ground and there's no real way to do that in echo chambers and whilst being unreasonable.
If 'I'm no Trump supporter but....' is truly indicative to you that you can immediately stop engaging with the discussion then the problem is on your side. It suggests that no other view but yours is acceptable. And there's 69,000,000 other people who you simply discount before they talk.
