There will be no useful statistics about subjective experience like micro aggressions and/or whether individual behaviours in the workplace can be labelled racist. Such things are prone to all sorts of problems with self reporting bias etc.

I have no issue with the idea of systemic racism – the stats are very much on your side and only an idiot would argue racism isn’t a problem in the US. My argument is similar to one put forward very eloquently by Steve QJ (also highly recommended) – MLK left a very clear blueprint about how to create a better world. One where people weren’t judged by the colour of their skin. How does promoting a strategy where people are judged in groups about the colour of their skin help enact meaningful change?

It’s an appealing world view, it feels justified, it’s highly supported on social media because of the tendency to seek out work that agrees with you and reject disagreements. That doesn’t mean it’ll work in practice. I’m not trying to debate whether racism exists (it does) whether white supremacy exists (it does) or that you have a valid end goal (you do) – I’m debating your methodology for getting society to be the sort of place you and I want it to be.
