These are all true and valid points – and I’m not saying she wasn’t suicidal, I’m saying I reserve the right to dissent to people claiming to be.

I don’t know about her and as harsh as this will sound, I don’t care. Not because I’m not generally compassionate, I am…. But because she clearly moved past it – and now it’s being brought to bear retrospectively. The subject of mental health is now a weapon in the dispute and I don’t have time for that.

And finally. The woman is a mult-millionaire. A good therapist might set you back £150 – £350 a throw, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility to bypass ‘The Firm’ altogether and do her own thing. She is in a very privileged financial position compared with many people waiting 12 weeks to be told they can’t access state funded therapy because they don’t meet arbitrary threshold.

That doesn’t mean it wasn’t awful. That doesn’t mean it wasn’t real, or that Pier’s Morgan’s treatment of her was fine. It just means I reserve the right to be sceptical.
