These are important points - but Mireya and I have something in common. I didn't emigrate to America when I was 11, but I was the first member of my family to go to University. I earn a reasonable living, work in a soup kitchen, and pay my taxes. Our stories are somewhat alike but we have reached different conclusions (presuming you both think the same). I think there needs to be a universal form of socialism, that negates the need or desire for Mireya to emigrate and become a US Citizen in the first place. At 11, this decision was made for her by her parents (I presume) and suggests a level of economic foresight or relative economic privilege others may not have had. That isn't to say she hasn't worked hard - rather that the opportunity to work hard was presented and she seized it. That opportunity needs to be universal and the presentation of that universal opportunity is socialism. It has to be.

However, even when given that opportunity, there will be those who do not seize it - and a model of success entirely formulated on 'work for money' will see those people relegated to deadbeats.... but by the same token Elon Musk cannot be the absolute gold-standard of success simply because his earning power is through the roof. He's not a net positive to the world's health and he's (arguably) not a great dad either. There is more to life than capability for economic potential and what we do to our national GDP. We aren't bees. I work with lots of people who have been broken by forces outside of their control, unimaginable tragedy, poor mental health, learning disabilities, addictions stemming from terrible childhood experiences, ex-military folks who struggled, and even those whose genetics have gone against them and turned them into societal monsters (psychopaths). The reasons for 'deadbeats' are numerous and varied, it is a side of society not many people see or want to see, but not providing a safety net for these people puts your children and grandchildren at risk and makes society more dangerous.

The reason it is okay to redistribute Mireya's wealth is that in the long run it creates more Mireyas than deadbeats - because if her wealth were given to families like her own, they would work hard and replicate for the good. This is why capitalism (when fettered with socialism) works well.. The world needs more people on her journey and fewer going the other way. :o)
