They are certainly an interesting couple and the dynamic between them isn't healthy - not does the presentation of their kids seem to be entirely healthy either. However, very easy to say and much harder to work out what's going on behind closed doors. Often there is a weird codepedency at work that is more complicated than either of the people in the couple realise and I suspect that is what is happening with the Smith family. Looks perfect from the outside - but far from it in reality.
