This an excellently thoughtful analysis of the Harper letter and the philosophical, personal and professional ramifications around 'cancel culture' - it's a complicated issue and not one suited to the cut and thrust of social media, people are simply looking for the quickest way of feeling the dopamine hit of group inclusion. Intelligent discourse consistently falls down into the Dunning-Kruger trenches between the echo chambers. All Social Media sites, (including Medium) bear some responsibility for letting identity politics and demagoguery erode both the sanctity and the sanity of individuals.
