This is a good article and for what it matters I think your argument is a strong one and that wholesale murder of an oppressive population can be morally justified in some instances, but such things are more of a grey area than you're presenting it as. For example.... Polish Freedom Fighters taking out rogue Nazi einsatzgruppen members gets a big thumbs up from me, the British firebombing of Dresden..... a little more complicated. The same logic also applies to Hiroshima and whether you think guilt is shared collectively or resides within individuals in a society. It's a tough question.
We should always be careful of where arguments lead, particularly if we're prepared to present them as a polarising issue. For example, I'm prepared to accept this one, as long as you're prepared to consider the terrorist attack on 9/11 as morally justifiable in light of American Foreign policy. Failure to answer anything but 'yes, those 2000+ Americans deserved it' will of course mean that you're placing white lives above brown ones, or Christians above Muslims. Debating is fun like mind-chess and it's your move. ;o)
