This is an excellent argument - but there are plenty of people who have gender dysphoria who aren't trans. And there are plenty of people opting into 'non-binary' who aren't trans either, particularly in our youth. Your argument is a good one though. Even if you grow to adopt the behaviours of the sex you were born to have - there is still an element of choice there. It is a positive choice, but it is still a choice - albeit a forced one. If gendered behaviour wasn't a thing then there's nothing to appropriate - simply changing sex would suffice. However, the world is complicated like that - and my crass argument may be misplaced in this instance.

The complexity comes with people like Rachel Dolezal. I firmly believe for whatever reason (probably mentally health related) Dolezal identifies as black. She believes it to be true and she feels it to be true. I can find no other explanation for her behaviour than sincere belief - and so I have to allow trans-racialsim into the mix as well. This cuts to the heart of confusion in the identity politics pissing party - and the Dunning-Kruger policing of the 'appropriation line' is an ongoing problem.

I have just done a very quick surface dive on Thomas Sowell and think I might have to get a few of his books. The few quotes I've looked at (and I have done the shallowest of dives on this) have been very interesting indeed. Thanks for the heads up on this - and thanks for commenting :o)
