This is an exceptionally enjoyable piece, I like your short sharp and snappy style. Good job. As someone who doesn't bother with monogamy but who has also had a significant other penguin for the best part of a decade, I feel like I've done okay.

We've been clear, we'll only stay together if we're making each other happier rather than sadder. That's it. That's the full extent of our contract. Occasionally we go out and enjoy the delights of other people - and that's okay too, we aren't each other's property. It takes a fair while for people to understand the toxicity that comes with feeling like you own someone.
