This is exactly the sort of rational writing that's going to see you burned at the stake for heresy. There are complications here and doing away with the ability to have nuanced conversations about those complications doesn't benefit anyone. I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that activists on both sides of the culture war around trans-inclusivity are doing far more damage to trans-youth than any moderates prepared to have those discussions.
Any attempt to hold the centre ground gets immediately slammed by both sides as the absolute manifestation of evil. That's the joy of the centre ground. Not sure if I've linked this story to you before, so if I have already I'm very sorry. Keep up holding the centre ground, because on these issues and many others it's entirely necessary. :o)
