This is objectively true, but subjectively difficult to accept in the current climate. If anonymity were granted to both parties and this was determined in a court of law — then I would agree with you. I don’t think for a second that she’s an agent of Putin, and it’s not up to me (or anyone else except the jury) to decide on the veracity of what she’s claiming — that’s what the courts are for — however, whichever way you choose to look at it, this case and it’s timing is being used as a political football.

Until we can mature past the point of trial by public accusation and have full anonymity for accused and accuser, this will happen at EVERY SINGLE political event ad infinitum. The public will become fatigued (they arguably already are) and the world will not become a safer place on a micro-interpersonal or macro-national level.
