This is perhaps a simplification of what I was originally trying to get out. It is not 'hate' that I am concerned about. I don't think mothers 'hate' their sons and will be abusive.... rather that some women hold an enduring resentment for males and this may infuse into how they parent their sons.

Now, before you dismiss this entirely, I want you to consider there were nation states in which parents would abort, kill their daughters and/or leave them to die. I think it's possible for social conditioning to override the genetic protective impulse in certain situations.

I'm not suggesting women who resent men might kill their sons, but I am suggesting there might be complications between mothers and sons. I would suggest that would be most obvious in the case of a son born of rape, the outcomes for that child are (unsurprisingly perhaps) not great. If there are women who have very good reasons to be wary of men, to dislike men, or to even hate very particular men - do they see that in their own sons?

I am a Penguin when I write online, making me sex and gender neutral - but for the sake of clarity I also don't have a hatchling of my own though I do have a significant other Penguin. This may factor into my dispassionate outlook on the matter. I can see from the back and forth that you're autistic, so please let me know if I haven't been clear enough with my thoughts or expressed them in an unambiguous way.
