This is pretty much what I see as well... what you've got on Twitter, and to some extent on this platform, is the illusion of progress by the absence of criticism. The two things are not the same. There has been little in the way of material progress for many poor folks for the last decade or so. Black folks are disproportionately poor in the US (and here in the UK) so there should be a continued grass-roots drive towards socialism the way MLK wanted it done. The effort should be made towards pulling people out of poverty.

Instead the Twatterati are out in force, preaching within a middle-class bubble to like minded faux-liberals of any hue. Criticism is banned. Rhetoric is divisive at best, painfully stupid at worst - and nothing gets any better. Even warning shots across the bow like the resurgence of Trumpism is taken as evidence that a) the world is racist and evil and not b) the modus operandi of the Twatterati is inherently flawed and produces the opposite results to the one they collectively MUST believe to fuel the echo chamber and pay each other for seminars.

Wash rinse and repeat for feminism and trans rights.
